It has been awhile since I have posted. Once again, I am a bad bad lj-er. I am also epically late in joining everyone to wish a Happy New Year because I have once again proven my candidacy to be patient-zero in a zombie apocalypse by getting sick on New Year's Day. T_T
But! Happy New Year! :D
Apparently, because this is a leap year, it means that it's an extra special lucky year of the dragon to be born in. So my niece-in-the-making will be an especially lucky little girl when she is born. :D I also predict that she will be an extra special spoiled little girl once she is born because she will have the full attention of two sets of doting grandparents and aunts'n uncle. WE ARE SO SPOILING HER ROTTEN MWAHAHAHAHA!!!
Anyways, in addition to the continued health of my sister'n developing kidlet, I also really hope that this year is my year of good car-karma to make up for the utter shite of last year. So remember when I had my car in the shop after my 3rd accident of the year? Well, I was driving not a week after I finally got it out of the shop again when I see this massive blob the size of my fist hurtling towards me on the freeway. Lacking the ability to get out of its way, the blob punches a hole in my fender. Pretty much right where it had just been fixed. *facepalm* I did not report this one b/c I don't think my insurance can handle another incident. Even if it's not my fault. *headdesk*
Haha, all of my gifts this year have been outerwear to keep me warm. Hee! I wonder whatever gave them the idea that I was constantly cold? ^_~v |

My plan to lure adorable kidlets in costume through my Boo!-pumpkin worked like a charm. Many a pretty princess, glittery fairy, walking skeleton, ninja, and transformer came to our door. Most memorable, a tiny chibi-Godzilla in a stroller that wouldn't stop smiling around his lollipop long enough to roar properly.
And, since I couldn't really decorate the place up, or wear my planned zombified costume (that I never got to wear because of...*raises fist* stupid car karma!), I decided to steal an idea from a friend and made li'l tootsie-pop ghosties. Which were a hit. XD

After much thought, haggling, and dealing with douchey salesmen, I present my new car. It's a 2007 Toyota Yaris. 91k miles. :D
Yay! Now I pray, please, please, please let me have an uneventful life with this car until I'm ready to get a new one. ^^;; |

Saw Cowboys and Aliens this weekend.
To start off, I love cowboys and westerns. I always have. I remember playing cowboys and indians with friends when I lived in Texas. There's even a picture of me as a little kid in a cowboy outfit for Halloween. So, yeah. Love cowboys.
I also love aliens. Well, sci-fi to be more accurate. I blame it all on anime. Robotech, Voltron, and Starblazers to be exact.
After Casino Royale, I also have a very healthy appreciation for Daniel Craig and his...assets.
So as you can imagine, a movie with all three of these things were completely relevant to my interests. I also went into it with eyes wide open expecting nothing else than cowboys, cowboys fighting aliens, hoping for some dc beefcake a la James Bond rising from the ocean, and Harrison Ford on my screen again.
Keeping that in mind, I enjoyed it mightily. For all of the shallow, shallow reasons I have just stated. And, yes, the movie was just as ridiculous as its title suggests. MY STANDARDS, THEY HAVE FALLEN!! XD |

Hee! It's not a lot, but with my tomatoes finally ripening, it feels like an actual harvest. Well, mini-harvest at the least. LOL
I am so ridiculously proud. :D Much thanks to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=92.2) mrasaki and hippediva for all their help and advice to this gardening newbie. (Last time I tried to grow tomatoes that hippediva gave me, I killed'm dead in about two weeks... ^^;;)

My poor tomatoes have been green for weeks now, with just a couple finally starting to change color. How is my li'l garden supposed to grow and bear fruit'n stuff if it keeps looking like it's gonna drizzle every day? Come back, sun! I don't know what we did to piss you off, but WE MISS YOUUUUU!!! T_T
LOL, at church service yesterday, our visiting pastor busted out the harmonica and gave us a rousing mini-concert of hymns and korean folk songs. It was pretty awesome. :D |

I am now fully moved back to NoCal. I don't think that it really hit me until today, after my brother and sister left back for LA and I didn't. It's still taking a little to get used to. :p
So far, it's been awesome! LOL
Hung out with mrasaki. *giggle* Went to the Star Trek exhibit at the Tech Museum. Quite a bit bigger than the one in Hollywood. And much more focused on the original series, it looked like, though there was a fair sprinkling of every other show in there, too. Did the shuttlecraft ride, which was like a ghetto version of Star Tours. Still fun, though! Then capped the day with much molestering of Karl Urban's life-size poster outside the IMAX theater and watching the reboot!movie on the IMAX dome. Dude. IT'S A GIGANTO FRICKIN' DOME! O.O;;
Went to Napa to do some wine tasting with my li'l bro and his girlfriend. Bought myself a sweet little Canon Elph at Best Buy. We tasted at V.Sattui and took a bunch of pictures at the Castello di Amorosa. Stopped by California's "Old Faithful" geyser in Calistoga and got there with impeccable timing. The geyser went off less than 5 minutes after we got there and just as we were leaving. XD ALSO! BABY GOATS! SO CUTE!
Thanksgiving was fun. LOL. Had to wake up hella early in the morning to get the 23-lb turkey in the oven in time to eat. Came out pretty nice if I do says so myself. :p
